Starting this blog marks the beginning of my effort to document my growth as I study public policy, economics, and finance. I choose to write this blog to capture the learning process and my progression through that process. This blog will be an extension of my scholastic experiences and provide me an opportunity to better understand what I am learning in the classroom. My hope is that by documenting my journey, I can both help others and improve my understanding of what I am learning.

A major influence behind starting this blog is the AP Microeconomics class I am currently taking. The course introduced me to core concepts such as incentives, market behavior, scarcity, and decision-making. These are ideas that I see outside of the classroom. I am seeing how economic reasoning influences real world policies and decisions. I hope that writing about these topics will reinforce what I am learning and connect the theory to real world applications.

Public policy affects almost every aspect of society, including education, healthcare, taxation, and economic opportunity. In this blog, I want to explore policy and financial topics, breaking down complex ideas into clearer discussions. Writing helps me organize my thinking, and so I hope it helps me better understand the connection between policy and economic theory.

Equally important, this blog represents a commitment to continuous learning beyond my regular coursework. Economics and policy evolve in response to new research, emerging technologies, and shifting global conditions. By regularly engaging with these subjects, I hope to gain knowledge and learn about the world.

Ultimately, I am starting this blog to help me better understand the concepts that I am learning and to encourage others to learn about these topics as well.
